The Summer Biannual Bibliothon 2017 is upon us! I’m excited to be a part of it mostly because they have blog challenges this year and bonus points to them for thinking of us book bloggers as well. If you don’t know what this is about, you can check out this video. As a part of the blog challenges, I’ll be posting this entire week. The challenge for Day 1 is being hosted by Nana from 4teenliars. Check out her blog for other fun bookish posts!
1. What are you planning to read for the Summer Biannual Bibliothon?
I’m glad you asked! I made a full post about it, which you can check out here. I’m also taking part in the BookTube-A-Thon, so it’s a combined TBR.
2. What is your favourite genre to read in Summer?
My reading tastes don’t really change that much seasonally. Here in India it is the monsoon season now and I tend to finish fantasy series in this rainy weather.
3. Where is your favourite place to read in the summer?
My favourite place to read, regardless of the atmosphere, is my bed. Since I started work in July, I’ve been reading in the bus as well. I can safely say that I prefer my bed.
4. What is your favourite challenge done in the Summer Biannual Bibliothon?
I really liked the banned book challenge. I’d picked out Harry Potter for it initially, but I went through the lists provided to see if I could find some other books that were on my TBR that fit the bill. I’m glad it made me do a bit of research before picking a book.
5. What fictional character would you hang out in the summer if you could?
Hermione Granger because she used to travel with her family to interesting places in the summer, as I recall. Also, I’m pretty sure we’d be best friends if she were real.
6. What are your plans for summer?
Try to find a work-life balance that works for me and try to get my blogging on track.
7. Do you have summer reading playlist, if not what would be on it?
As it turns out, I don’t. But currently, my favourite artist is Lindsey Stirling. Her violin music would definitely feature in my playlist. Also, I want to listen to my old Linkin Park favourites now.
8. What is your favourite summer movie?
I don’t have one, but I have plans of re-watching and marathoning the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy. I hope that counts!
9. What book do you read every summer, if not what thing do you do every summer?
I don’t think I have a summer ritual. I re-read The Lord of the Rings books every year as well. If you can’t tell by now, I love everything to do with LotR and I honestly can’t think of anything else.
10. What other book tags are you planning to do this summer?
Hmm, I’m not much a planner, so I don’t have any in mind currently. Also, as I said, it’s not summer here. I’m thinking of more heavy discussion posts rather than fun tags at the moment.
That’s it for the book tag. I hope you had a great time reading my answers. Are you taking part in the Summer Biannual Bibliothon? Are you doing the blog challenges? Or are you a wandering (but not lost) bookworm who happens to like The Lord of the Rings as well? Let me know in the comments section below.
